Please join us for our Sixth Annual Asian American Legislative Summit and Lobby Day on Wednesday, February 22nd in the Georgia State Capitol located in downtown Atlanta. Our Legislative Breakfast and Lobby Day is designed to be a relationship-building opportunity among Asian American leaders, Georgia elected officials and other policy makers. Our event draws the largest number of Asian American business and community leaders to the Georgia Capitol each year, typically bringing together 150 guests.
This year's breakfast will start with coffee and refreshments as well as a formal program at the beautiful Georgia Freight Depot from 7:30AM - 9:00AM, followed by a tour of the Capitol and a chance to lobby elected officials. Guests will take a photograph with Governor Nathan Deal and enjoy a lunch at the Empire room of the Floyd Building. Afterwards, we will be hosting four summit sessions in the Empire room from 1:00PM - 3:00 PM. We welcome guests to join us for the whole program, but participants may join us for the breakfast program or for the summit.
This unique opportunity brings diverse Asian American immigrant and refugee community members together to talk with state policy makers about the issues that affect their communities most. Our organization closely monitors legislative activity and crafts policy priorities concerning our key issues: immigrants' rights, voting rights, education, and economic justice.
