"Children are our most valuable resource."
— Herbert Hoover, 31st President of the United States
We as adults usually think of ourselves as the teachers and best resources for children, but as President Hoover had realized, children are the most valuable resources. Their inherent inquisitive nature allows them to research information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
It is with great pleasure that the 2016-2017 BAGA committee present to you “Ankur”, a magazine composed of elementary, middle, and high school BAGA members’ artwork and writing. While we have always known that our youngest members are talented artists onstage, this is a rare occasion for us to be able to partake in their wonderful writing and artistry. A big thank you to the BAGA EC and all other volunteers for coming up with this ingenious idea of creating a magazine which gives BAGA’s youngest members a platform to display their artistic talents.
Without their hard work in organizing and editing Ankur, we would not all have the opportunity to revel in each child’s talent.
Please don't forget about Ankur when you join us at Anondo Utsav on May 20, Abol Tabol characters and read a detailed history of India’s scientists, freedom fighters, writers, to name a few. 2017 at Discovery High School so that you can enjoy seeing the pictorial, imaginative representation of Sukumar Ray’s
Through the creation of Ankur, one thing is clear; even thousands of miles away from India, BAGA’s children will continue to keep India’s history alive.
