BAPS celebrates Diwali – the Festival of Lights & Hindu New Year

Diwali, the festival of light, is one of the most important and colorful festivals of the Hindu calendar. It is a time when charity, goodwill, family values and the love of God are celebrated and reinforced. A traditional celebration of Diwali will be held in front of the Mandir. Countless lamps will be lit on this occasion and a maha arti will be held where all can participate in unison. The Maha Arti (an offering to God for inner peace, prosperity and happiness) will be followed by a festive display of music, lights and fireworks.
