New York touring mantra music artist Mirabai Moon makes her first appearance in Atlanta on Friday December 16th. Joining Mirabai on this Mystical Kirtan tour are Florida musicians Vic Digiorgio on bass & Steve Prince on percussion, and from North Carolina Kali Das on guitar and Amah Devi on response vocals.

Singer/songwriter Mirabai Moon’s immensely versatile and powerfully expressive voice has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Ani DiFranco and even mantra artist Deva Premal. Her music takes listeners on a journey, flowing effortlessly from ethereal dreaminess to soulful blues and jazz.
She honed her craft studying vocal improvisation with Jazz legend Bobby McFerrin and Rhiannon of Voicestra. After nearly two decades of songwriting and three original albums, she fell in love with the practice of Kirtan. In 2010, Mirabai devoted herself as a Bhakta, singing sacred chants in Sanskrit, sharing her profound love of the Divine with others through call and response devotional chanting.
Mirabai tours across North America, sharing chant music and sound healing in yoga studios, healing centers, and festivals. Her offerings guide participants into experiences of profound healing and embodiment of the Divine Essence within human form.

The Planetary Alignment, a series of mantras designed to balance the subtle energies and celestial forces! The planets in Vedic Astrology, which include the Sun and the Moon, plus the two nodes of the ecliptic, have been affecting our lives constantly since we were born, directing the flow of our karma and creating both good and bad circumstances in our lives. The astrologers of ancient India discovered particular mantra vibrations that could amplify the effect of these planetary energies. They also understood the relationship between particular planets and certain deities, known as planetary rulers, who can mitigate the negative effects. By combining the nine planetary mantras with the mantras of the ruling deities into a single vibrational tapestry, a complete balancing of a person’s energy system can be achieved, resulting in a more smooth flow of energy throughout all aspects of life. When combined with asana practice, this becomes a powerful method for manifesting those energies in the physical world!
