Vocal Toning is the creation of extended vocal sounds on the outgoing breath using a singlke vowel in order to experience the resonance and its effects throughout the body and mind. We will bring each chakra humming to life, resonating and aligning these energy centers for health, wellness, and higher consciousness. Vee Baker has facilitated vocal toning circles with quartz crystal bowls in the Atlanta area for the past 13 yrs, and womens drum circles for 19 yrs. She is a sound therapist and also facilitates Rites of Passage Ceremonies... Maiden, Mother, Crone, Elder... to honor women as they pass through each stage of life.

The Hanuman Chalisa, an auspicious praise-poem containing “chalise” or “forty” verses in praise of Lord Hanuman, is recited by millions of Hindus every day, including an ever-growing number of western Hindus, yogis, and bhaktas. In this workshop we will share stories about Hanuman and the origins of the Hanuman Chalisa, and experience the power of singing, reading, and listening to it. Some chairs will be provided; please bring a cushion and/or mat for more comfortable floor seating.

Join us for an hour long immersion into ancient Sanskrit prayer. These rhythmic mantras have a myriad of benefits when practiced on a regular basis: clear the mind and elevates you above the thinking realm, heal on many levels, inspire heart-centered devotion and wholesome relationship with life, and cultivate peace and ease. In her studies of Ayurveda, Lindsey Sita received direct transmission from Maya Tiwari, Veda Vyasa lineage, of mantra and Vedic Chants that have infused and enhanced her life for many years. Professionally, she practices ecological design with Sustenance Design and Earth Healing. Please bring something on which to sit comfortably!
The History, Science, Practice and Benefits of Chanting the Maha Mantra with Balabhadra Battacharya Dasa

Benny J Tillman (Balabhadra Bhattacarya Dasa) is a direct disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness). He joined the Hare Krishna Movement in 1973 in Atlanta and has since traveled extensively in India and other parts of the world practicing and teaching the ancient Vedic philosophy. Prior to joining the Hare Krishna Movement he was a successful entertainer in the Atlanta music scene during the late 60’s and early 70’s. Mr. Tillman served as president of the Atlanta Hare Krishna Temple for more than eighteen years. He is an avid reader and preacher of Bhagavath Gita, the ancient sacred Sanskrit text from India, holy to a billion plus people. He is a respected teacher of the ancient science of Mantra Meditation, especially chanting of the Maha Mantra through the medium of Kirtan and Bhajan. He is co-founder of the Murari Band.
The workshop will include:
*Introduction to chanting the Maha Mantra
*Creation and recording of a new Kirtan melody by all participants and Murari Band (acoustic).
It is suggested that for their comfort participants should bring yoga mats or cushions. They are also encouraged to bring instruments such as small hand drums, small bells, and cymbals.
