Sarod - Souryadeep Bhattacharyya, tabla - Rohit Bhat, Ghazal singer - Azhar Mehmood
Souryadeep Bhattacharyya is a well-known name among the new generation of Indian classical sarod players. Souryadeep is at present a premier "Gandabandhan" disciple of the world-famous sarod player Pt. Alok Lahiri under Guru-Shishya Parampara. A recipient of the coveted Junior and Senior National Scholarships in music from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, Souryadeep was adjudged the National Gold Medalist in instrumental music by the Association of Indian Universities. Souryadeep is a B-High grade permanent artist affiliated with All India Radio (Prasar Bharati) and is an empanelled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). He has performed in many prestigious concerts nationally and internationally including in the Lincoln Center and Joe’s Pub in New York, “Eye on India” Festival at the Chicago Cultural Center, “Biswa Banga Sammelan” at New York as a child-artist, “Nritya-Rytme” at NTNU Trondheim, Augusta Hindu Temple at Augusta, Bhawanipur Sangeet Sammiloni, Purulia Ramkrishna Mission and many others. He is also a founding member of the world music group “Gypsy at Heart” and performed with them at various concerts in and around the US. He was selected as an "IndianRaga Fellow" in 2014 and was the Creative Director of the IndianRaga Fellowship in 2015.
Rohit Bhat (Tabla)
Rohit Bhat is an accomplished Tabla player in the Hindustani classical music. He started his training at the tender age of 10 under the guidance of Shree Mudaballi Raja Saheb. Currently he is under the guidance of the eminent tabla maestro shree Prithwiraj Bhattacharyaji as a senior desciple. He has been performing nationally and internationally in prestigious concerts .
