Invitation reads,
After attaining independence on August 15, 1947, India adopted its constitution on January 26, 1950, declaring itself a Republic. Since then, the people of India have been celebrating January 26 as 'Republic Day'. The day is also symbolic of the democratic traditions to which India is deeply committed.
It is a matter of immense pride to celebrate our Republic Day on the soil of USA, a nation with roots firmly entrenched in democracy and democratic values. As in the past, we will be celebrating our Republic Day on January 26, 2020 in Atlanta at a befitting ceremony. This year we mark the 71st Republic Day.
The event will be celebrated from 1800-2100 hours on January 26, 2020. The venue is the Studio Theater at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center located at 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, Atlanta 30328.
