Eye Spy : Children's Workshop on Masks
1/12/2021 3:30 PM
Eye Spy!
Tuesday, January 12 | 3:30 - 5:30 PM Now that we are all wearing masks that cover half of our faces, have we become better at reading people’s emotions by looking at their eyes? What methods might an artist use to create eyes that are expressive? With teaching artist Pam Beagle-Daresta as their guide, kids will explore works of art across the collections of the the Carlos Museum and discuss what makes the eyes on each so distinctive. Then they will learn how to blend colored pencils and create a fold-out book with their own drawings of expressive eyes. Appropriate for children ages 8-12. Fee: $15 for Carlos Museum members; $20 for nonmembers. Zoom link will be provided upon registration. Register for Eye Spy workshop HERE. |
