Fascinating Folktales of Punjab-6,7&8 is a set of three new hardcover books (with five folktales) created to appeal to children of ages 5-10 while preserving the ancient folk stories from Punjab, in Punjabi, English, and Romanized Punjabi. This is Gurmeet Kaur’s third children’s book set.
• The three hardcover books (11’ x 8.5”) with five tales are printed on child-friendly, acid free, responsibly forested thick paper with soy based inks
• The one hundred and fifty six pages in rich, vibrant colors make the characters come to life and are illustrated with authentic Punjabi artifacts and landscape in mind
• Each story is presented lyrically and has a moral
• The language is indigenous, idiomatic, and reflective of many Punjabi dialects with a glossary of difficult words included for each story.

The project is dedicated to publishing high quality Punjabi folk literature for children that is fun, educational and inspiring. The project aims to connect the children to Punjabi language and Gurmukhi script from a very early age while bringing the stories that are being forgotten back to life.
