FAQs?
--------------------------
Q: When and how should I pay for the registration cost?
A: Parents/Guardians must pay when they drop off their child. Cash or check form will be accepted, with checks made payable to “Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple.”

Q: What if my child has a certain condition or special requirement?
A: On the registration form, you can address any dietary restrictions, allergies, medical needs, or anything else that you would like us to know about your children. We will do our best to accommodate for them.

Q: What camp belongings do I need to provide for my child?
A: Each camp participant will need a sleeping bag and pillow, a towel and personal toiletries, 3 days and nights-worth of change of clothes, as well as sleeping attire and swimwear. You do not need to bring any food or drinks from home. All meals will be provided and be vegetarian.

Q: Is there anything my child should prepare for?
A: A talent show is planned for Saturday night, for which your child can prepare any item of choice: storytelling, joke-telling, singing, dancing, playing musical instruments. All are welcome! If there is anything they will need to perform (e.g. CD, musical instruments, etc), please bring that with you.

Q: When should I drop off my child?
A: All participants must arrive between 6-7 PM on Thursday, June 22nd with their camp belongings and register with one of the camp coordinators at sign-in. We have several activities planned and would like to kick-off the camp on time, so please arrive and register before the mandatory orientation at 7:30 PM on Thursday, June 22nd.

Q: Will my child be leaving the temple premises?
A: No. Kindly advise your child not to leave the temple premises during the camp under any circumstances. While several volunteers will always be around to watch and prevent them from going outside the gate, we would like the children to be responsible and cooperative for their own safety.

Q: Can my child use his/her cell phone during the summer camp?
A: Although participants are allowed to have them during the camp, cell phones may only be used during breaks. This rule applies for calls as well as texts. If a child would like to contact his/her parent/guardian, the best thing to do is to let one of the camp coordinators know, so he/she can assist them.

Q: When should I pick up my child?
A: The closing ceremony of the camp will start at 10:30 AM sharp on Sunday, June 25th. All parents/guardians are invited to attend this special occasion. During this period, the camp participants will conduct Havan, present a musical performance, and receive certificates for completion of the camp. We will also inform you all a summary of the activities your kids participated in at the camp, followed by aarti and lunch, concluding at 1:00 PM.

Q: Can I be a volunteer?
A: Yes, we would love you to volunteer, in any way possible. This can be anytime starting on Thursday, June 22nd at 7PM until Sunday, June 25th at 1PM. And if you know someone else who would like to volunteer that is not a guardian, please have him/her call or email Anup (404-906-3439 or anupchandora01@gmail.com).

Q: What if I forget about all these camp details?
A: Don’t worry! A “Letter to Parents/Guardians and Children” email will be sent out to remind you and your children about: Camp Belongings, Optional Talent Show Preparation, Drop-off, Cell Phone Use, Safety Rule, and Pick-up.

We look forward to meeting you and your family and creating long-lasting friendships!
