Interdisciplinary Workshop in Colonial & Postcolonial Studies

Emory University, Department of History: We are excited to announce the schedule of events for
the Interdisciplinary Workshop in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies for spring 2017.
Last semester the Interdisciplinary Workshop in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies held a meeting to discuss the current political situation in the United States and the world. Building on comments and conversations from that meeting, we would like to host further events to encourage students at Emory to continue the discussion and to plan ways in which we can act individually and collectively to make a difference in our communities.

To that end, we have arranged for a further gathering to be held on Thursday, February 9, in White Hall 103 from 6-7:30 p.m. The evening will begin with short presentations on a range of topics delivered by graduate and undergraduate students. The floor will then be open for attendees to submit further questions, comments, and suggestions. We hope that this forum will provide an opportunity for individuals and organizations working in different corners of the university to come together for productive dialogue and strategic planning.

This event is open to anyone interested in participating. It will be led by students, but faculty, staff, and other members of the Emory community are welcome to join. Please distribute this call to any and all who may want to attend.
Please note that the timing and location of events vary throughout the semester.
