For over two decades, Dr. Ramazani has been a major critic and theorist of postcolonial conceptions of poetry and the lyric. For those interested in poetry, global anglophone, and postcolonial literature, Ramazani's visit will mark a special opportunity to meet a distinguished professor in the field. He has authored 5 books and numerous articles, including A Transnational Poetics (2009), which demonstrates how poetry in English exceeds national boundaries and serves as sites of transnational dialogue.
