Let’s celebrate 2019 Pongal Thiruvizha with family and friends. 

All interested participants please register for Sakkarai Pongal and Kolam Contest Both these contests will be conducted at the venue. Both Date and Event Timing will be emailed.

Sakkarai Pongal Potti Guidelines (சர்க்கரைப் பொங்கல் போட்டி விதிமுறைகள்)

1. 1. Contestants must be a GATS member in active status. (non-member fee per head $10)
2. Number of participants per entry should be minimum 1 and not to exceed 5
3. Registrations should be done on or before January 27th, 2019.
4. Registration may be closed earlier than January 27th, 2019. If enough registrations are received by then.
5. Competition will be conducted at the venue contestants will cook their Pongal at the venue and submit it for the judge’s review.  
6. Sakkarai Pongal should be prepared during the event and contestants would require serving up to 5 adults.
7. Contestants shall bring their own ingredients including STOVE, Water, vessels, spatulas, paper plates, spoons, and tissues.
8. Contestants are responsible for cleaning their areas
9. Contestants must bring their own cleaning supplies.

Entries are limited, accepted first come, first serve.

First Prize $100.00 

Kolam Potti Guidelines (கோலப்போட்டி விதிமுறைகள்)

1. Contestants must be a GATS member in active status
2. Participants could be from 1 to 3,  for each entry
3.  Deadline for entries is January 27th, 2019.
4.  Registration may be closed earlier than January 27th, 2019 if enough registrations are received by then.
5. Scoring is based on Theme, Creativity, Presentation and Completeness (25 points each).
6. Total size of the art shall be limited to 4 feet by 3 feet.
7. Contestants must bring their own supplies.
8. Contestants are responsible for cleaning up their art/ kolam
9. Contestants must bring their own cleaning supplies
