5th annual NCYCAC Youth Carnatic Music Festival

5th annual NCYCAC Youth Carnatic Music Festival

The program features more than 100 of the top youth musicians from around the nation and in our local communities. Over the past four years, NCYCAC has provided a platform for more than 200 youth musicians to exhibit their talents in concerts. More than 750 unique members of audience have enjoyed the live concerts.

NCYCAC partners with iCarnatic.org to have the Festival webcast live. Several hundred individuals including those from India and other U.S. States watch the Festival live online every year.

NCYCAC uses the Festival to empower youth to give back to the community. Each year, NCYCAC’s Board, comprised of youth leaders, select a charitable organization and raise funds for a humanitarian cause. Over the last four events, we have raised almost $50,000 for four different, inspiring charities (Sankara Nethralaya, Akshaya Trust, AIM for Seva, and Vibha). This year, to coincide with Swami Vivekananda’s 150th anniversary, NCYCAC and dozens of youth volunteers are raising funds to benefit the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM -www.svym.org). SVYM provides education, job skills, and health care for poor tribal youth populations in Karnataka, India. We ask you to please come in large numbers to support our cause and listen to soulful music. We thank you sincerely for your support!
