Refugees: Conference by Atlanta Young Leaders (YL)
The World Affairs Council of Atlanta Young Professionals, with Atlanta-based aid organization CARE, bring to you speakers about the plight of refugees (Bhutanese and others).
Speakers from many organizations, including:
Refugee Family Services, International Rescue Committee Atlanta, Clarkston Development Foundation, and Refugee Resettlement & Immigration Service of Atlanta (RRISA).
Attorney AMNA SHIRAZI is also a speaker.
"The responsibility of all of us is to understand the situation and to support it as much as we can," says Jonathan Mitchell, CARE's COO.
The morning program describes the larger refugee situation, and the afternoon focuses on Atlanta and what you can do.
