An Example

A Marriage Saved
At a wedding ceremony in Tirupur, South India, the bride and her relatives were very late in arriving at the marriage hall. The boy along with his family was anxiously waiting as the mahurat was slipping by. As the girl arrived, tempers were frayed. And what followed was almost a scene from the Mahabharata. The boys people were blaming vigorously and the girls people were trying to defend themselves. Blood Pressures and voices were raised to a high pitch. It looked like no marriage would take place at all. Just then, a lady entered the hall and insisted on being heard. Her calm demeanor and voice acted like a balm on the angry crowd. She spoke in reasonable tones about forgiving each other and staying unruffled and focused for the purpose for which they had all gathered. She apologized unconditionally on behalf of the girls side and asked for forgiveness. Her words acted like magic and soon everybody present realised their foolishness and the prayers and mantras for the marriage were announced. What was going to be a disaster ended in joyful camaraderie and delight.
Today the couple is happily married and will always remember the lady who showed them the power of forgiveness. This lady was none other than a Principal of a school which had participated in The Moment of Calm Forgiveness campaign and remembered to implement the message in a practical manner.
