On June 2, 2019, one of Mastergaru's wonderful compositions, SRI KRISHNA PARIJATHAM, will be presented by his senior disciple, Smt. Revathi Komanduri, the founder of Srivaani Kuchipudi Dance Academy. The proceeds from this presentation will be contributed to the CHILDREN'S HEALTHCARE of ATLANTA.
Smt. Revathi Komanduri is a senior disciple of Padma Bhushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. She started learning Bharatnatyam at the age of five, but her parents Sri. Pathri Ananda Mohan and Smt . Bala Tripura Sundari decided to put her under the tutelage of Guru . Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam when she was eight. Ever since, her passion for Kuchipudi knew no bounds. However, it was not something that came from within herself, but it was something that came from her Guru.
She is my daughter's guru and has been training her for a few years now. Whenever my schedule permits, I attend Smt. Revatigaru's classes. She is easily the best teacher and has a keen eye for detail. She is a stickler for the traditional style of Kuchipudi and adheres to peda mastergaru's teachings to the core. She is also a very creative choreographer and a thorough researcher. It is actually an honor for us to be able to see SRI KRISHNA PARIJATHAM, a 60-year old dance composition of Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam.
I urge one and all not to miss this wonderful opportunity to see the presentation on June 2, 2019. I would like to convey that your presence will encourage the Kuchipudi performers, support the Kuchipudi dance form, and contribute to a noble cause.
