Sunday FUNday: Indigo

Celebrate the last Sunday FUNday before summer with indigo dyeing on the Quad! Natural indigo is a plant-based dye with ancient roots in Peru, India, Egypt, and in the centuries-old textile traditions of West Africa, as seen in the 19th-century Yoruba Egungun in the African Gallery. Experience the magic of indigo with textile artist Kathy Colt by dyeing a bandana to take home.

Sunday FUNdays will resume on September 15.

Sunday FUNday is a free drop-in event for all families. No registration is required.

In case of rain, SUNday Funday will take place in Ackerman Hall, Level Three.

Location Emory Quadrangle
Event type Michael C. Carlos Museum
Department / Organization Carlos Museum
