Many of you may recall our congregation member Paul Rentz. Paul died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack on Monday, January 18th. Here is a sweet remembrance by a fellow devotee —
My thoughts on Paul Rentz
by Hyma Naidu
I knew Paul a little more than a year at the Vedanta Center, and also through our Compassionate Communication group, which meets with Clarice Belcher. He was always very personable, pleasant and cheerful. He came with a smile. Paul often said in our Zoom meetings with Clarice that he had everything — a good wife, a house, a boat, good retirement, and financial security. He was always honest about his feelings, and said that he was not doing enough for the community, and wanted to do more. At the same time he said, “I am doing a lot and still not fully happy, and do not know why.” That worried me a bit, and we talked about counseling for his dissatisfaction of “not doing enough and unable to feel satisfied.”
However, it was wonderful that I had a chance to get to know Paul for a short time, by making a good connection. Even though his sudden death is shocking news, I found peace in knowing that he is in God’s hands. I pray for his soul while also praying for his family. God bless Paul and his family that is left behind.
With peace,
Hyma

Holy Mother's Helping Hands, your Center’s annual effort to provide food and warm clothing for the less fortunate, is ongoing during the winter months. Our Food Drive is in cooperation with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This year we will NOT be collecting food here at the Center. Instead, you may support this effort with a monetary donation here: https://tinyurl.com/y9ozyadd
With regard to your donations of warm winter clothing, there WILL BE a clothes rack on the Monastery sunporch. As we have done every year, the gifts you leave with us will be passed on to a local church. They have a large “clothes closet,” and invite the homeless to drop by and find things they like and need.
