"Shinning Star" Kanchana Raman
Kanchana Raman, President and CEO of Avion Systems, a global telecommunications and information technology solutions provider, has been named as the Georgia Women's Business Council's (GWBC) Chairperson's `Shinning Star' award recipient for 2004. Kanchana was cited for her exemplary contributions of energy, time and commitment to the Georgia Women's Business Council.
"It is truly an honor to have been selected by this distinguished group of women for this prestigious award," said Raman. "I love being part of the GWBC team and look forward to continued involvement with this important organization for professional women."
Kanchana is actively involved in GWBC because of its commitment to strengthen entrepreneurship in woman-owned firms, the GWBC's mission to enhance the competitive value of women-owned business.
