Multicultural Wedding Traditions and Fashions Highlighted at Fusion Bridal Show

A unique bridal show was organized by Ribha Events, Kirti Photographer, Hilton Northeast and Cafe Bombay on October 29th. "In this age where couples are united from very diverse backgrounds there needs to be a resource and guide for understanding the cultural ceremonies and art of the various ways to celebrate the wedding," was the guiding thought behind this show. Indian weddings in particular have many festive customs and traditions. The Fusion Bridal Show provided a much needed resource for a rapidly changing world. No longer are the majority of weddings an affair of a singular culture. The show was created for this very purpose.

The show started at 12:00 pm with vendors from different categories which included but was not limited to limos, decorators, photo, video, financial planning, cakes, invitations, jewelry, and event management companies.

The show was followed by the grand themed fashion show which was narrated by the ever effervescent Parijat Chandra and choreographed by Prem Rahman and Sonny Molu of Silent Killers.

It took many volunteers to get all the models out on the ramp after each change. Make up artists Patrina and Synthe, hair dresser Nitu, DJ POHP, DJ Kumar, photography by Kirti Photographer, video by Sarvaga studio, and decor by Ribha ensured the success of the fashion show. Ladlee, Raneez, After Hours, and Jessica McClintock along with the organizers made the show flow smoothly.

One patron remarked, "This show was very different from other trade shows and was electrifying with the various vendors." Guests said, "The wedding ambiance was created in the fashion show; especially when one of the brides was carried out in an open doli."
