Movie Update
Nagesh Kukunoor’s next film titled 8X10 Tasveer, a sci-fi thriller with a supernatural element, is slated for an April 3 release. The Akshay Kumar-starrer is said to be inspired by Manoj K. Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense.
The movie also stars veterans like Sharmila Tagore, Girish Karnad and Anant Mahadevan in important roles.
Farhan Akhtar and Kareena Kapoor will be paired opposite each other in a yet untitled movie which will be directed by Sudhir Mishra. The film will be based on the political dynamics of the man-woman relationship.
Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali, who played the young Salim and Latika in Slumdog Millionaire, and who actually hail from slums, have been roped in by producer Vashu Bhagnani for his film Kal Kissne Dekha. The movie, being directed by Vivek Sharma, will reportedly have a guest appearance by Shah Rukh Khan.
Asin, who shot to popularity with Ghajini, is now aiming to scale greater heights with 19 Steps, a multilingual film to be directed by Bharat Bala. The film is being produced by Walt Disney and will be shot in Kerala.
After winning international accolades, Deepa Mehta’s Videsh—Heaven On Earth is all set to hit the Indian screens. Preity Zinta has already won rave reviews for her powerful performance as a Canada-based battered Punjabi housewife.
