Om Puri in company of Julia Roberts
Om Puri has found good company in Hollywood and made himself the envy of all his Bollywood colleagues. Yes, the veteran actor who has carved a niche for himself in Indian and international cinema, has Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks (who calls Puri Omi) as co-stars in his next Hollywood film. Titled Charlie Wilson's War, the movie has Puri playing Pakistani dictator General Zia-ul-Haq in it. Directed by Oscar-winning director of The Graduate, Mike Nichols, the film is set during the period when the former Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan>It is about world politics of that time in which Zia plays a small part. Puri's association with Nichols goes back to Wolf, which starred Jack Nicholson.
