Ranveer Singh to play Kapil Dev

The big buzz this time is that Ranveer Singh has been roped in by Kabir Khan to play the celebrated cricketer Kapil Dev in his upcoming sports drama 83, which revolves around the historic 1983 World Cup win by India. The icing on the cake: the film will probably see Ranveer pair up with Katrina Kaif for the first time. Yes, speculations are rife that Kat might have bagged the coveted role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev, as Kabir and Katz are good friends. The two have earlier collaborated on New York, Ek Tha Tiger, and Phantom.
