Saree-clad Oprah charms Mumbai

Undoubtedly the highlight of last month was Oprah Winfrey’s maiden visit to India. The U.S. chat show queen floored everyone with her down-to-earth charm and infectious joie de vivre, not to forget her orange and gold Kanjivaram silk saree, at a glittering welcome party hosted by socialite Parmeshwar Godrej in Mumbai on January 16. Almost all the Bollywood biggies turned up to meet the big ‘O’ and be clicked with her.
What also made the headlines was Oprah’s visit to the Bachchans’ residence, Jalsa, to see Abhishek and Aishwarya’s two-month-old baby girl, before she headed for the party. In fact, Big B himself drove Oprah to the bash. Ash and Oprah struck up a great friendship when Ash appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, first in 2005 and then with Abhishek in 2009.Enjoyed reading Khabar magazine?
