How much do you know about current events in India and the U.S.? Try this short quiz!

1. In a tribute to the late Shashi Kapoor, BBC News showed footage of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.

2. Gurmej Singh of Kalamazoo, Michigan, completed a painting measuring 22.76 square meters, setting a Guinness World Record for the “World’s Largest Professional Oil Painting.”

3. Donald Trump sent Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017, an invitation to visit the White House “anytime in the next seven years.”

4. A politician in Ireland withdrew a tweet in which he referred to Prime Minister Leo Varadkar as “the Indian,” claiming that the tweet was “not racist” but “shorthand for an Indian surname which I could not spell.”

5. A bride-to-be left her haldi ceremony to cast her vote during Gujarat’s elections, her face in bright yellow turmeric.

(1, 2, 4, and 5 really happened.)
