DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN? 1. A Bangladeshi man suspected of planning a terrorist attack in Britain told police that his name is Gurukanth Desai, the character played by Abhishek Bachchan in the 2007 film Guru.

2. Meeting her at the IPL opening ceremony, Amitabh Bachchan asked Katy Perry if she’s related to former presidential candidate Rick Perry.

3. A Time magazine editor asked South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley if she gives bigger tips to Sikh cab drivers.

4. A tiny bit of soil and blades of grass with a drop of Mahatma Gandhi’s blood from the scene of his assassination were listed for auction by Mullock’s in England.

5. Facebook offered a job paying $262,500 to a B.Tech student in Allahabad.

(1, 3, 4 and 5 really happened.)
