Good Sports: INSPIRING TEENAGER

Neha Gupta, an 18-year-old college student from Philadelphia, recently became the first American to win the International Children’s Peace Prize. She runs Empower Orphans, an organization that has raised $1.3 million to help orphans around the world.

It all began about nine years ago when Neha visited India and saw the conditions that many orphans were living in. She returned home and decided to sell all her toys in a yard sale to raise money to help the orphans.

“From that one event we raised $700 and I have wanted to keep going,” she told ABC News.
