Welcome to Tackyville—or maybe Tackypur. In the dubious tradition of the Kardashians, not to mention the formerly married Kate and Jon Gosselin, here come the Guptas.
It’s not clear when, or if, this reality show is coming to a screen near you. But those who are curious about the Guptas can go to the Web to watch video clips of their antics. The mocumentary stars Varun and Veera, played by Niranjan and Sumita Tripathy. Apart from their real son (Sunny Tripathy), the Gupta household includes two fictional children: daughter Anjali, played by Sumi Raman, and adopted son Yash, played by Sahil Punamia. The action revolves around—what else?—generational and cultural conflicts. In one clip, things get out of hand when the Guptas celebrate what they dub Vishnumas.
