Pattni plans to add two residential towers in downtown Atlanta

The Pattni Group, headed by Harish (Harry) Pattni, has purchased the entire city block covering Spring, Williams, Baker and Simpson streets in downtown Atlanta. It plans to renovate the Days Inn and develop two residential towers on the land north of the nine-story hotel. Including the cost of renovation, the deal is valued at approximately $32 million. Harish Pattni approached the previous owner and made an unsolicited offer for the block. As the owner of ten hotels that include the Hampton Inn in midtown, Pattni is already looking into the possibility of re-branding the Days Inn. As quoted in a commercial real estate website, Pattni thinks downtown Atlanta is a great place to be right now, given that it's at the start of a nice growth curve.
