Heena Sadhwani has been awarded International Graduate Student of the Year at Georgia State University (GSU). The International Education Awards recognize outstanding faculty, staff and students for their commitment to international education. Sadhwani is a Ph.D. candidate in biology with the College of Arts and Sciences. Sadhwani received a master’s in biotechnology from the University of Mumbai prior to attending Georgia State University to earn her second master’s degree in biology. While pursuing her Ph.D., she also serves as a graduate research assistant doing work that includes western blotting, recombinant DNA cloning, cell cultures, RT-PCR and RNA extraction.
