100,000 Poets for Change
9/28/2019 11:30 AM

100 Thousand Poets for Change is hosting its sixth annual poetry reading at Agnes Scott College with the support of the English Department. Poets will read their own poem or a poem they love, in any language they like. The event celebrates poetry as an agent of transformation and change, whether for the writer, the reader, the listener, or a cause (political, social, economic, environmental), for peace, justice, inclusivity, mutual respect and consideration, or for the care, health and sustenance of the planet and its variegated species. Over 2000 events are planned simultaneously all across the world, and the readings are all part of the archive maintained by the 100 Thousand Poets for Change, curated by Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion.
MURALI KAMMA will be reading his poems.
If interested in participating, please contact Professor Waqas Khwaja at wkhwaja@agnesscott.edu by September 16, 2019.
