ATL x Muslims of the World: Unity Banquet & Fundraiser
11/8/2018 6:30 PM

The Agnes Scott Muslim Students Association, along with the MSA's at Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Emory, and Kennesaw State University invite you all to Agnes Scott's Annual Unity Banquet. This banquet is hosted every year in order to bring together people from all types of backgrounds and to create a space full of love, acceptance, and compassion. We are intending to break free from any negative stereotypes, and creating a narrative as a group where there is no hate just LOVE.
We are excited to announce that inshaAllah the Muslims of the World team will be coming to discuss topics of interest amongst Muslim youth. The MOTW Organization is a group of Muslims traveling in order to spread the stories of Muslims from all over the world. Their mission is to sell as many copies of their book, Muslims of the World: Portraits and Stories of Hope, Survival, Loss, and Love, and send that money to Yemen in order to provide aid. This is an event for us to create bridges in order to expand the Muslim narrative and show unity among Muslims and Non-Muslims.
This event is open for anyone in Atlanta- regardless of Race, Religion etc. it will be a safe zone full of love and the intent to learning more about each other as individuals and a collective.
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO YEMEN!
Thank you to our sponsors: Agnes Scott, Islamic Speakers Bureau, ICNA, and Madinah Institute

We have received many questions in reference to attire for the event. Though it says "Black Tie", we encourage everyone to wear whatever they feel comfortable in! Black Tie is being said to imply that this will be a more formal event, but anything 'business casual'/ 'nice' is fine :)
Also, we will be accepting cash for tickets at the door! Don't forget to get your tickets!!! code 'halfoff' for a discount!
