Asia Society, Texas organized the exhibition Transcendent Deities of India: The Everyday Occurrence of the Divine, and to mark its final weekend the Carlos, they welcome featured artist Abhishek Singh in conversation.
Singh's practice includes drawing, painting, digital animation, and the creation of graphic novels and artist books. He is research-driven, and investigates topics as broadly ranging as the Indian Vedic texts, the Italian Renaissance, quantum mechanics, botany, and neurosciences. He will discuss his most recent body of work and its relationship to works such as those featured in Transcendent Deities. The talk will include a drawing demonstration and an audience Q & A.
