Ashrunchi Zali Phule is a milestone theatrical production written by legendary Late Prof Vasant Kanetkar in 1966. Performed by generations, this Marathi natak is reincarnated in 2019 with a stellar cast which includes Shailesh Datar, Seema Deshmukh, Umesh Jagtap and Subodh Bhave and the entire ensemble. Directed by Pratima Kulkarni Ashrunchi Zali Phule depicts the turns in fortunes in the lives of the two main protagonists, Vidyanand, a professor of mathematics, and his young protégé Lalya.
