Author Murali Kamma reading from his new collection of stories Not Native.
Music, books.
Literature night at Waller's Coffee Shop in Decatur. On September the 8th we will be featuring renowned poet Cecilia Woloch who will perform poems from Tsigan: The Gypsy Poem accompanied by classical guitarist Dusty Woodruff.
Spoken word maestro Jon Goode will perform from his repertoire and
Murali Kamma will read from his new book of stories Not Native. And we will celebrate literary birthdays with Don Perryman reading William Faulkner and Adam Washington reading Richard Wright.
Janet Metzger will celebrate the world's best selling author Agatha Christie.
Franklin Abbott is once more your humble host.
The event is free though we take up donations to support the programs at Waller's. Food and coffee are for sale but get there a little early if you are hungry. There is a $5 corkage fee if you bring your own alcohol. And books and CD's by the authors will be available for purchase.
We begin the reading at 6:30. If you are unable to join us in person we will be streaming live on Facebook via the Waller's Coffee Shop Facebook page.
The reading will also be archived so you can watch it later.
