BAGA celebrates Durga Puja 2012
Bengali Association of Greater Atlanta – Atlanta’s one and only premiere Bengali Association with a 33 year heritage welcomes you to Durga Puja 2012. Come join the biggest Bengali community organization as we welcome Maa Durga to her earthly abode. May her blessings give us the power to come together, rejoice in her divinity, soak in our rich tradition and embrace our diverse culture. With fun, food, fashion, festivities and cultural programs that strike a blend between traditional and contemporary. Overseas artists feature: Kamalini Mukherji (noted Rabindrasangeet singer), Torsha Sarkar (Indian Idol runner up and Bollywood singer) and Apaar Bangla (a Bengali rock band based out of Boston). Local programs include a jaatra (play), bong connection (music concert), a fashion show based on the elements (earth, wind, fire, water) and kids program (Neel Kamal Laal Kamal).
