ChristineFest! Community Kirtan Jam and Fundraiser!
Come raise your voice and chant with us. Everyone is welcome. Bring an acoustic or percussion instrument if you have one. If you have a chant to share, bring copies or a chord chart so we can share it with everyone via white board. Bring a friend. Stephanie, Ian and Joey will all be there to support our dear friend, who you have often seen working the door and selling CDs at BSW events.
This Community Kirtan Jam is a fundraiser for Christine Peck.
Christine is a very active part of Atlanta's kirtan scene and one of the organizers of ChantLanta. She's been battling breast cancer for the past few months. The great news is that after chemo and lumpectomy, no cancer is detectable! But she will still need some more treatment to be sure, and won't be able to work full-time for a bit yet. Christine could really use some help keeping the bills paid until her treatment is complete and her pet-sitting roster fills up again.
Light snacks and tea will be provided. (If you'd like to donate snacks, reply to this email and we'll connect you with the right people.)
