H.H. Swami Japanandaji is a monk of the famous Ramakrishna order. After training and initiation he has served in various Ramakrishna centers in Karnataka and Bengal. His call drew him to the town of Pavagada in Tumkur district Karnataka. He has been serving there since 1986 as a Karma Yogi showing the way to so many sadhaks. Initially he took up the job of eradicating Leprosy in the area and since then his work has expanded to Tuberculosis, Eye diseases, emergency relief work, Children heart diseases, Primary medical care, in addition to spiritual teaching every day, in Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama. Currently he is the founding chairman of Swami Vivekananda Integrated Rural Health center, Shree Sharadadevi Eye Hospital and research center in Pavagada. He is well known in the filed of Leprosy in the country. Swamiji is a special invited guest at the 16th International Bhagwad Gita Conference to be held at Dallas on Sep 13th to 17th. He is a widely sought-after speaker. We are blessed to have Swamiji grace Atlanta area before returning home for his busy life. Swamiji is a great singer of Devotional music, great orator in addition to his Social service.
