Kalakruti Dance Academy estd. In 1985 by Guru RekhaShri Desai has been promoting & imbibing Indian Classical Dance amongst the younger generation since 3 decades. RekhaShri Desai born & brought up in Chennai belongs to Visnagra Naagar family, acquired her Masters degree in Commerce & Hindi along with Masters in Dance & Drama. Guru Rekhaji a firm believer in the traditional Guru Shishya parampara instills amongst her disciples the values of our Indian Culture.
Associated with spiritual oraganisations such as ISKCON, Brahmakumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Art of living, Guru RekhaShri Desai has been promoting Indian Dances & spreading awareness to the masses through her service. More than 5,000 students trained under Guruji over 30 yrs receives exposure to perform at National & International level.
In March’16, at the World Culture Festival at Delhi, Artistes from Kalakruti Dance Academy performed in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi & many other National and International dignataries. Keeping her vision alive Guru RekhaShri Desai formed a NGO - Kalakruti Cultural Centre
(2012) in collabration with pragati mitra mandal, inaugurated by Pujya Bhaisree Ramesh Bhai Ojha along with the well wishes of Dr.Dinkarbhai Joshi. With his blessings & good wishes the trust is actively working towards promotion of Indian Art & Culture.
