Gala Aims to Raise Awareness and Funds to Send 1,000 Pakistani Children to School
Hosted by Hollywood Actor Faran Tahir, with Keynote Address from Bilal Musharraf
This year’s gala theme is “Basant Bahar,” drawing inspiration from the popularSouth Asian festival heralding the arrival of spring with colors and kites. The evening will include dinner and musical entertainment and will be emceedby acclaimed Hollywood actor, FaranTahir- who has appeared in multiple blockbusters from Iron Man to Star Trek. A keynote address will be given by Bilal Musharraf, the Dean of Translationsat the Khan Academy, a company known for reinventing education through video.The keynote will be followed by dinner, dance and entertainment. Last year,the gala sent 550 children inPakistan to school for an entire year. This year, with the world'sspotlight on girls education in Pakistan, the Atlanta Chapter aims to providequality education to a 1,000 children in need and give them a chance to gainthe knowledge and competencies they need to succeed.
