Enjoy a day of tradition with regional dance performances, henna artists, music and more!
WHAT: Join Macy’s North Point, in partnership with ASB Communications, for a
celebration of Deepavali, the Festival of Light that marks the victory of light over
darkness, at a special in-store event. On Sunday, November 4 from 1 to 5 p.m.,
Macy’s will honor the beauty of the holiday and the traditions celebrated across
many communities during this special time of year.
Macy’s will mark the beginning of the celebration with the lighting of the Diya
followed by regional dance performances by the Kalaxya Institution of Performing
Arts. Guests will enjoy henna artists and the opportunity to shop from exquisite
gifting stations with specially-curated Deepavali jewelry, accessories, and home
decor for all Deepavali shopping desires. Guests can have purchases wrapped to
perfection at gift wrapping stations. Additionally, local community influencers will
be on-site to discuss the significance of Deepavali.
Attendees who spend $75 or more will receive a special gift bag. Those
interested in attending should RSVP here.

MORE: Deepavali, or Diwali, is the Festival of Lights and one of the most widely
celebrated festivals of India. Deepavali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light
over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
