EKATVA - A dance drama coming to Atlanta

6/16/2012 7:30 PM

EKATVA - A dance drama coming to Atlanta EKATVA, meaning Oneness, is the name of the group.  Their drama in mime, music, dance and song depicts the life of Gandhi, and the later leaders he influenced with his principles of non-violence and the innate value of every individual.  The later leaders depicted include Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Mother Teresa and of course, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  These child performers, who are marginalized from the mainstream, have risen above the harshness of their daily lives to shine a beacon of possibilities for others in their situation, and to bring a message of love, harmony and peace to all who see them.

Through the leadership of six local women, EKATVA will be coming to Atlanta.
