Join us for a night of comedy, food, and a silent auction in support of Raksha, Inc.! We have Rajiv Satyal performing his comedy and food catered by the Gathering Spot. Your ticket price includes the food, and event. Raksha will have a cash bar. Parking will be free. The funds raised at Ek Shaam help support the work towards Healing, Empowerment and Justice for South Asian Survivors of Violence.
Ek Shaam Raksha Ke Naam: Save the date for Ek Shaam Raksha Ke Naam, Raksha's annual fundraiser featuring comedian Rajiv Satyal. Headliner Rajiv Satyal is a Los Angeles-based comedian/host and his TV-clean act makes him one of the most versatile comedians working today. He has opened for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russell Peters, and hosted Dave Chappelle. Rajiv Satyal is also the creator of the massively viral I AM INDIAN video, which was shared by Bollywood stars and used to introduce the Prime Minister of India in Shanghai and Dubai. He performs weekly at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, CA, and has performed on three continents.
Rajiv co-created the world-touring show Make Chai Not War, a Hindu/Muslim stand-up show sponsored by the U.S. State Department.
This year's Ek Shaam will take place at the Gathering Spot, an exclusive new social club in the metro-Atlanta area.
Raksha is looking for volunteers to help with fundraising, marketing, and planning for our event.
