Erasing Borders Dance Festival 2021
Dear IAAC friends and supporters,
 
Announcing the dates for the Annual Erasing Borders Dance Festival which will run Sept 22-26 2021. Because of the continued impact of the pandemic in India and across the world, our festival will be presented virtually this year.
 
We are delighted to announce a stellar lineup of artists this year. Performing at the festival will be celebrated names such as Rukmini Vijaykumar, New York-based Sonali Skandan, Chennai-based Meera Sreenarayanan and Preethi Athreya, and California-based Jyotsna Vaidee presenting Bharatanatyam. Bindu Rajendren from Australia will be performing a multidisciplinary take on Mohiniattam, Kalbeliya World will be documenting the work of 12 fabulous Kalbeliya dancers-teachers supporting their families through dance, Kalamandalam Adithyan will present exquisite Kathakali, Kaustavi Sarkar will perform Odissi, and Vaishali Trivedi will present Kathak in a group. In virtual workshops, we will have New York's Dr Krishnakali Dasgupta teaching Manipuri, and Aakansha Maheswari sharing Rajasthani folk dance.
