FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS opens this November

Following the success of her first movie “Once More Removed: a journey back to India”, Indian-American director Shundell Prasad brings her new movie FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS” to theaters. The film “shows a side of the Indian diaspora as you’ve never seen on film”, was filmed on-location in both Guyana and New York City.
FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS following a family’s journey from their homeland of Guyana to America, tells the story of a rebellious teenage girl who struggles to navigate a broken relationship with her mother and a troubled adolescence, while memories of her absent father continue to haunt her. After receiving shocking news about her father, she embarks on a journey from New York to Guyana to discover the truth about her family’s mysterious past.
