From Sept. 22-Oct. 20, experience their lives through photography, videography, and interactive installations by CARE storytellers, who travel the world documenting humanitarian crises and efforts to improve the lives of those they impact. Join us for a special opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Exhibition curated by CARE; photography selected by Lucinda Bunnen and Judy Lampert.
Included artists: Kate Adelung, Jakob Dall, Simon Duncan-Watt, Josh Estey, Nancy Farese, Raegan Hodge, Brooks Lee, Laura Noel, and Kathleen Prior
The United Nations declared Oct. 11 as International Day of the Girl Child to stir worldwide enthusiasm to improve girls’ lives. Children make up more than half of the 68.5 million forcibly displaced people worldwide. In emergencies, girls are among the most vulnerable as gender-based discrimination and disadvantage put them physically, psychologically, and economically at risk.
Includes Bangladesh and the Rohingya.
