Fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee

The Chantlanta vibe continues with a
Fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee

Move your body, raise your voice, create colorful signs with a message of hope. Together we'll expand our compassion and uplift others that need our support!

We'll hear from a local representative of the IRC, about the organization's work in Atlanta.

Shonali Banerjee—who led the first music set Saturday morning at ChantLanta—will lead some guided movement and meditation. Jonathan Adams will accompany that time with soundscapes from Tibetan bowls.

Then Stephanie Kohler (of Blue Spirit Wheel) will lead a community kirtan jam—meaning everyone has the chance to learn some basic harmonium and percussion techniques. Ian Boccio (of Blue Spirit Wheel), as well as Flavia Krishna and Gershone, will also teach during this time.

No yoga or musical experience is required—come connect and explore! If you have a harmonium or hand percussion instruments, feel free to bring them for the jam.

While the creative vibrations are flowing, there will be a space to make signs for IRC beneficiaries, reminding them to stay hopeful.

We'll close with a big music circle, where you can play, dance, chant, and keep the soul-stirring momentum going! Looking forward to seeing you there!

This is an all levels, all ages event at Vista Yoga.

There will also be a silent auction, including items donated by the IRC. Stephanie also donated a gift certificate for music instruction.

Didn't get a ChantLanta shirt last weekend? They will be on sale, with proceeds going to the IRC.
