GAVT: Winter collection of items for Bhutanese and homeless
The Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple:
Help our Bhutanese brothers and sisters:
The Temple is collecting items in a box outside the prayer hall at the temple on or before Dec 7th. Some of the items will be donated to homeless people downtown, too.
1. Backpacks (new or gently used) - WE NEED 100
2. Blankets (New or gently used) - TONS Needed
3. Winter Jackets (New or gently used) - Men, women, children
5. Scarves (NEED 500)
6. Gloves (NEED 500) (new or gently used)
7. Toiletries (shampoo, soap, tooth brushes/tooth pastes, cough drops, chapstick) - TONS NEEDED, sealed & unexpired only
8. Holiday Candy (candy canes, chocolate bells, kisses, Santas, etc.) - TONS NEEDED
Swadesh Katoch of SEWA is coordinating this and he will get them delivered to the needy people. Temple is closely working with him on this.
