The 2015 Dale Somers Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Philip Stern, associate professor of early modern British history at Duke University. The title of his lecture is “Empire, Incorporated.”
Professor Stern is the author of The Company-State: Corporate Sovereignty and the Early Modern Foundations of the British Empire in India. This event is free and open to the public.
